Jean serves as Lead Accountant for the Alamo Area Council of Governments (AACOG), which is a political subdivision of the State of Texas, established in 1967 under Chapter 391 of the Texas Local Government Code. AACOG is a voluntary association of local governments and organizations that serves its members through planning, information, and coordination activities. AACOG serves the Alamo Region/State Planning Region 18, which covers 13 counties and 12,582 square miles in south central Texas. While AACOG is a governmental entity, AACOG does not have authority to tax or to regulate in support of its mission.

As Education chair of AGA’s San Antonio chapter, she arranges for informative speakers for our chapter, as well as for other AGA chapters, to provide valuable insights and information to assist chapter personnel at the local, state, & federal government levels operate in a more efficient and transparent way.  She also writes our chapter Newsletters to pass on relevant information to current and future chapter members.

Jean has volunteered to be our President-Elect for the 2026-2027 Program Year.
